亡 国 恨
although poland had been overrun by the germans in 1939, many poles escaped to britain and carried on the fight in all three branches of the british services. above all they wished for vengeance on the germans.
in 1941, the british sent a large naval force against the super german battleship bismarck. sub-lieutenant sopocko, a young polish officer on board the british battleship rodney, took especial delight in the terrible punishment administered by the british ships to the shattered hulk of the german battleship. while some felt sympathy for the german sailors, who fought with great gallantry against overwhelming odds, sopocko had none, reflecting: “ justice, you still exist. ”

一 九 三 九 年 ， 波 兰 被 德 军 侵 占 ， 但 不 少 波 兰 人 逃 到 英 国 ， 加 入 英 国 三 军 ， 继 续 作 战 ， 务 求 报 仇 雪 恨 。
一九 四 一 年 ， 英 国 派 遣 庞 大 海 军 对 付 德 国 超 级 战 舰 俾 斯 麦 号 ， 海 军 中 尉 索 波 科 是 个 年轻 波 兰 人 ， 在 英 舰 罗 德 尼 号 上 ， 看 见 俾 斯 麦 号 被 英 舰 合 力 重 创 ， 船 身 残 破 ， 雀 跃 不已 。 当 时 有 些 人 见 俾 斯 麦 号 船 员 不 顾 众 寡 悬 殊 ， 奋 勇 作 战 ， 对 他 们 颇 为 同 情 ， 但 索波 科 丝 毫 不 为 所 动 ， 心 想 ： 「 正 义 ， 你 还 没 有 消 失 。 」
【 附 注 】 俾 斯 麦 号 在英 国 战 机 、 战 舰 夹 击 之 下 ， 终 告 沉 没 。 留 意 船 只 名 称 英 文 习 惯 用 斜 体 印 刷 ， 手 写 则可 画 底 线 （ underline ） 代 替 。 又 船 的 代 名 词 常 用 she 字 ， 用 it 当 然 也 可 以 ， 例如 ： the titanic sank in her / its maiden voyage （ 铁 达 尼 号 在 处 女 航 中 沉 没） 。
