古德明《征服英语》之英语军事故事，古德明，香港英语教育作家，他开了一个《征服英语专栏》，在专栏中专门用英语写了世界近代史上的军事小故事，用英语讲述历史中那些惊心动魄的战争。

威 灵 顿 冷 哼 一 声 说 ： 「 假 如 你 真 要 塑 造 我 当 天 的 模 样 ， 那 么 ， 塑 像 就 应 拿 望 远 镜 ， 伏 在 地 上 沿 战 壕 爬 行 。 」
【附 注 】 equestrian 由 equine 和 an 合 成 ， equine 即 「 马 的 」 ， 例 如 ： the cartoonist exaggerated the prince's equine features （ 漫 画 家 夸 张 了 王 子 像马 的 相 貌 ） 。 equestrian 和 pedestrian （ 步 行 的 、 行 人 ） 一 样 ， 可 作 形 容 词 或 名词 ， 指 「 骑 马 的 」 或 「 骑 马 者 」 。
和 equine 相 类 的 字 ， 有 canine （ 狗 的 ） 和 feline （ 猫 的 ） ， 例 如 a feline expression （ 猫 一 样 的 表 情 ） 、 canine teeth （ 犬 齿 ） 等 。
