The Woman I Love,The Woman I Love范文

The Woman I Love 点点英语网收集整理 论文网 www.ddyingyu.com I was awakened by the first ray of sunlight. While I was still enjoying the comfort, a thought suddenly occurred to me:"Why U m still in bed so late, and I'll be..." I immediately sat up, hurriedly put on my school uniform, complaining about my bad quality alarm clock. I picked up that naughty clock, meaning to check it, but.., wait! Someone had already reset it!What's more, today is Sunday! I slumped into my bed again, having on my untidy overcoat. I couldn't fall asleep however because I was anxious to know why my often careless father would become so considerate. It was quite beyond my belief. I got up quickly and rushed into my father's bedroom. He was still sleeping as usual. Then when I passed the kitchen, a delicious break fast on the table caught my sight. "Yeah" I told myself, "I'm still in a dream!" But turning about, I saw the door opened and my mother step in, with a basket of vegetables and fruit in hand.I patted my head twice so as to make sure that I was not in a dream.
The next minute I was sitting at the table, eating the tasty food cooked by the loving woman I was facing. She seemed to enjoy the scene of my chewing my favorite food more than tasting what was in her dishes.
My mother, who is a manager in charge of a multinational company's public relations in China, has been identified by my father and I as a long term guest with education privileges. I still remember how I made efforts to stay longer with my mother by putting the clinical thermometer into a bottle of boiling water. What she could do to take care of her "sick" daughter was kissing her forehead and whispering, "You'll recover soon. I would accompany you, my dear, if I don't have to..." I would close my eyes, determined not give her the sorrow of seeing me crying.
It cost my childhood to get used to such kind of life. Now, I succeed and even begin to enjoy it. When some of my friends are locked in the battles with their parents, which neither of them really want, I don't need to worry about the criticism for my temerity. For instance, I have a boyfriend despite the upcoming Entrance Examination both of us are going to take.
"Janet, which university do you prefer? I mean you like best. Is it still Fudan?" she looked at me and asked thoughtfully.
I was astonished as I remembered I had not mentioned that university since I was seven years old, when at that period, to be a lawyer was my ideal.
"Maybe," I answered casually, "You know my favorite profession was a lawyer, but now..."
"Doctor," she whispered but I caught it although I myself couldn't believe my ears.
"How did you know that?" I put down my soupspoon.
"I'm your mother, though I'm often away from you, I can feel what you appreciate and worry." She smiled.
The whole day the successful woman did everything a housewife likes to do and seemed to accomplish those trifles as perfectly as she dealt with her work. And I, spending most of the time on homework, seldom talked to her. I knew she would leave the next morning or noon, and not return until one or two months later as had scheduled. Then she wouldn't be able to share my excitement or sorrow in the Entrance Examination.Such sentiments would be lost through the telephone line under the Pacific Ocean.
Monday morning, when I was having my mathematics lesson, my teacher brought a pink envelope to me. I couldn't hold out my tears any more before I finished reading the letter in it."I'll always support your decision... Believe yourself and be yourself! You'll succeed.., love you!" I looked out of the window and saw my mother's back gradually disappearing at the gate.
The belief that the greatest love in the world will never fade is never so firm as it is now. No matter how far she is from me,as she said, she is my mother. She can feel my joy and sorrow.
So do I, my dear mother.
