青楼侠气(英中对照)

古德明《征服英语》之英语军事故事，古德明，香港英语教育作家，他开了一个《征服英语专栏》，在专栏中专门用英语写了世界近代史上的军事小故事，用英语讲述历史中那些惊心动魄的战争。

allied flyers and escaped pows followed many unusual paths to safety from occupied europe in the second world war. in paris one escape network operated through a brothel in montmatre, to which the escapees would be taken and disguised as customers in the event of a raid by the gestapo. one particular english pilot was so embarrassed at being taken there that word of his odd behaviour reached the ears of an informer. a member of the gestapo visited the brothel the next day in the guise of an ordinary client, but fortunately the manageress saw through his cover. in the event of a full gestapo raid she realised that the young pilot would be too embarrassed to play the part of a client and so dressed him as a prostitute instead.

第 二 次 世 界 大 战 期 间 ， 盟 军 飞 行 员 以 及 逃 亡 战 俘 循 千 奇 百 怪 途 径 ， 逃 离 德 军 占 领 的 欧 洲 。 巴 黎 一 个 逃 亡 组 织 藉 蒙 马 特 里 市 一 所 妓 院 运 作 ， 把 逃 亡 者 送 到 院 中 ， 遇 上 盖 世 太 保 前 来 搜 查 ， 就 叫 逃 亡 者 扮 嫖 客 。 一 名 英 国 飞 行 员 送 来 之 后 ， 尴 尬 不 安 ， 以 至 举 止 异 常 ， 消 息 传 到 告 密 者 耳 中 。 第 二 天 ， 一 个 盖 世 太 保 扮 成 普 通 嫖 客 来 到 妓 院 ， 幸 而 鸨 母 看 穿 了 他 的 身 份 。 鸨 母 知 道 ， 假 如 盖 世 太 保 大 举 前 来 搜 查 ， 那 年 轻 飞 行 员 太 过 局 促 ， 不 可 能 扮 嫖 客 ， 于 是 要 他 改 而 扮 妓 女 。
