烛火:人性温暖的光


after moving into a new residence, there was a sudden blackout and darkness in the house before the hostess tidied up.
the hostess just touched the candle and matches when a tap at the door came from outside.
opening the door, she found it was a small girl, who picking up her little face and asked, “auntie, is there a candle in your home?”
how so? the first day i just moved the neighbor sent for their child to borrow something. weren’t they bullying the newcomer? today i lend them a candle and maybe they would come to borrow onion or garlic. no. no way! so the hostess said, “oh dear, unluckily, your aunt just moved here and don’t prepare the candle.” after that, she was about to close the door.
“auntie, look, my mother asked for me to send it.” the small girl, like a conjurer, drew her hand from behind and raised high two thick candles.
facing the crystal-clear eyes of the girl, the hostess was shocked, weakly leaning on the door with her hands covering her face and having no nerve to look at the girl.

乔迁新居,女主人还没收拾完毕,突然停电了,室内一片漆黑。

女主人刚摸到蜡烛和火柴,门外便传来了“笃笃”的敲门声。
打开门一看,原来是一个小女孩,她仰着小脸问道:“阿姨,你家有蜡烛吗?”
怎么?我刚搬来第一天邻家就支使孩子来借东西,这不是欺负新来的吗?今天借给她蜡烛,说不定明天又来借葱,蒜,不行,绝对不行!女主人便说:“哎呀,真不巧,阿姨刚搬来,没准备蜡烛。”说完,她就准备关门。
“阿姨,你看,我妈妈让我送来的。”小女孩变戏法似的从背后抽手,高高的举着两根粗粗的蜡烛。
面对孩子清澈的眼睛,女主人一下惊呆了,继而无力的倚着门,双手捂面,不敢与孩子对视…
